Rocky Mountain National Park at Estes Park, Colorado
Roxana and Albert never wanted a big wedding, so they decided to do elope in beautiful Colorado. Simply Eloped planned the ceremony and The Drawhorns focused on capturing the beauty of their day. Since they weren’t caught up in planning a big wedding, they got to focus on what matters the most: their love for each other. On this interview, Roxana gave the following advice to future couples:
“Don’t let anyone force or guilt you into something you do want. If you and your spouse are 100% happy with your choice, thats all that matters. It’s about you two.”
Q: How did you choose Estes Park for your ceremony?
A: Colorado was always somewhere I thought would be so beautiful to get married at. After I found Simply Eloped, I fell in love with all of the photos The Drawhorns were posting and knew we had to get married in Colorado. Our officiant, Jess Drawhorn, helped me narrow it down to 3M Curve in RMNP.
Q: Why did you two elope?
A: We never really wanted a big wedding. The cost of it all turned us off and we, personally, didn’t see the value of an expensive wedding. We also didn’t like the idea of everyone pushing their option on us and feeling obligated to have a wedding in a way we were not comfortable with. So we decided why not get married in the mountains like I’ve always dreamt of, just the two of us. It was the best decision ever!
Q: How was the experience?
A: It was absolutely amazing! Simply Eloped planned it all, we only had to choose like 3 things, get a suit and dress and just show up. It was so stress free and we were able to enjoy the excitement of getting married without any of the stress.
We loved our location, 3M curve! It was a dream, the day was perfect and the views were unreal. We had an wonderful officiant that created a special ceremony for us and an amazing photographer that captured beautiful moments that we get to look back on forever.
I would definitely do it all over again in the exact same way.
Q: Any advice for couples looking to Elope?
A: Just do it! Do it how you want because at the end of the day, it’s about you and your partner. If you want close friends and family there, great! If you don’t, thats great too! Don’t let anyone force or guilt you into something you do want. If you and your spouse are 100% happy with your choice, thats all that matters. It’s about you two.
